[edit] iPod: 1984
In early 2005 The Royal We debuted their critically acclaimed [citation needed] iPod: 1984 short film. The short was a spoof of Apple Computer's world famous 1984 Super Bowl commercial directed by Ridley Scott which has been voted one of the greatest commercials of all time, on occasion being voted into the number one position. The Royal We's version satirizes the ad by making Apple itself Big Brother and controlling the masses through the highly popular iPod. To date, the video has apparently been viewed over 500,000 times worldwide. [citation needed]
