The Roman Mysteries books are a series of historical novels for children by Caroline Lawrence.

The first book (The Thieves of Ostia) was first published in 2001, and eighteen books are planned. The main four characters consist of Flavia Gemina, Flavia's slave Nubia (freed in The Pirates of Pompeii, book 3), Jonathan, and Lupus. The Roman Mysteries books are highly entertaining, but are also partly true. (eg. The Secrets of Vesuvius(book 3) Admiral Pliny is met.)

  6. The Twelve Tasks of Flavia Gemina - romance, mystery, and a plague in Ostia...
  7. The Enemies of Jupiter - the plague in Rome, and more of Jonathan's Mother...
  8. The Gladiators from Capua - as the Colosseum opens, it's a matter of time to save Jonathan...
  9. The Colossus of Rhodes - the four friends are off to Rhodes to satisfy Lupus' uncles' Dying wish...
  10. The Fugitive from Corinth- ...and on the way back are caught up in an attempted murder in Greece...
  11. The Sirens of Surrentum - back to the Villa Limona for romance and mystery, and a poisoner is loose...
  12. The Charioteer of Delphi - a famous racehorse goes missing
  13. The Slave-Girl from Jerusalem - back in Ostia, maybe to Judaea APR 2007
  14. The Beggar of Volubilis - off to Morocco, Carthage and Spain OCT 2007
  15. The Scribe from Alexandria - Egypt, and Nubia APR 2008
  16. The Prophet from Ephesus - the four go to Turkey & Asia Minor OCT 2008
  17. The Legionary from Londinium - the friends go to Britannia APR 2009
  18. The Man from Pomegranate Street - dramatic end to the series! OCT 2009
