The Remote Viewer was originally released in CD-R format by Coil. The three track album was released in 2002 May in an edition or 500 copies. The initial three copies were signed and numbered, then auctioned off. The album was later re-edited by Peter Christopherson and expanded to include a second CD of two new tracks. The second edition was released in 2006 August on the same day as the expanded version of Black Antlers. Both remasters were printed in Thailand and feature high quality images and packaging. Both of the reissues are also identical in packaging style.
For this album, Coil were: Jhonn Balance, Peter Christopherson, Ossian Brown, Cliff Stapleton & Mike York.
Written & produced by Coil & Danny Hyde. "Sympathetically Remastered" by Mark Godwin.
It is noted that "Disc 2", "was created in 2006 using original materials." Two pictures of goat horns comprise the extra artwork for the second edition. These photographs are credited to Ian Johnstone.
The catalogue number for the reissue release is thbkk 1, which may stand for 'threshold house bankok'. It represents a sign or emergence of yet another label for Coil's releases.
