[edit] Releases
The band's first album, Fused Together In Revolving Doors, saw much success in the underground metal community with songs such as "Nihilist" and "Sixteen Bit Fingerprint." One of the band's most popular songs, "Dreaming in Dog Years," was also released on this album.
The title of this album is a reference to the 1942 Cocoanut Grove Nightclub fire in Boston, MA, the deadliest nightclub fire in American history.
The Red Chord's sophomore album, Clients, was released in 2005 with much anticipation and has been very successful. The album's first single release, "Antman," was met with some hesitation as it does not, according to many fans, best represent the album. The Red Chord has released a re-issue of Clients with bonus tracks in mid-2006.
The title of the album was originally derived from an inside joke/story between Guy Kozowyk's family and friends, referring to the mentally disabled students whom a member of Kozowyk's family drove a bus for. This term eventually spread out to mean anybody whom one did service for. The title reflects the songs, as the songs are stories from and about "clients," or mentally disabled people whom Guy has had experience with working in a convienence store located next to a rehabilitation/mental hosptial.
Each song is a different "client," or a different person with a mental ailment, ranging from schizophrenia, to multiple personality disorder, to extreme obsessive compulsive disorder. The song "Black Santa" would best desribe the album and its meanings, as it actually depicts everything that is used as an inspiration in the album: Guy's job, the people he encountered, the stories he heard, and the notion that everybody both has and is a "client," meaning everybody works for somebody, and that everybody is not entirely mentally stable.
The Red Chord released three music videos/singles for the album "Clients".
"Antman", the first single, was directed by David Brodsky of My Good Eye and notably features live ants crawling on Greg Weeks, the band's bassist. It had the honor of being the most played video on MTV2's Headbanger's Ball in 2005.
"Blue Line Cretin", directed by acclaimed artist Paul Romano (who designed the "Clients" CD graphics).
"Black Santa", again directed by David Brodsky, was shot on location at the notorious Manhattan nightclub, Crobar. The claymation "battle" between the Antman and Black Santa characters was executed by Randy Gordon-Gatica and conceived of by Guy, Randy and Brodsky. It has been nominated for Best Video of 2006 on MTV2's Headbanger's Ball.
The Red Chord has been writing new material on the road and hope to have another full length release out by February 2007.
[edit] Line-up changes
The Band has undergone many drummer changes recently, but for the time being Brad is back with the band. He has been helping with local tours and will be playing with The Red Chord during Ozzfest 2006.

Vocalist Guy Kozowyk has recently launched his own record label called Black Market Activities. The label releases music from various hardcore / grindcore acts including Ed Gein, Animosity, and From a Second Story Window. The Red Chord's own sophomore album, Clients was also released on this label.
