The Rainforest Site
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Rainforest Site is a Click-to-donate site on the internet where users can save rainforests around the world by simply clicking on a button. Each click saves over 11 square feet (1 m²) of rainforest. As of the end of June 2005, visitors to The Rainforest Site have saved over 30,000 acres (121 km²) of rainforest from destruction.
The site was started on May 1, 2000. Visitors to the site do not have to pay any fees, and only one click per day is counted per person (or per computer) toward the total.
The site is owned by Greg Hesterberg and Tim Kunin.
