The Punishers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Punishers are a rap group that consists of MC Oli, C-Bake, MC Quis, MC The G, and sometimes Mosh. As a group they prefer to play live, having played in the Walter-Leibling Theater quite a few times.

[edit] Accomplishments
Their song "Comin' At Ya" reached number 4 on the Papua New Guinea charts in January 2005.
[edit] History
C-Bake has been rapping since his early years in elementary. He and MC Oli met up and began to perform live together. They would also freestyle often, and took part in shows with the infamous DJ Yellow Monkey and Em I Lee.
A year or so after this, MC Quis brought himself and his two deliquent friends (MC The G and Mosh) to MC Oli and C-bake. He asked for them to be able to join The Punishers. After facing and crushing MC The G, Mosh, and MC Quis in a 3 on 1 freestyle battle, MC Oli denied the request. The three more unexperienced MCs continued to insist, demanding rematches. After a set of 3 on 1 rematches, the younger rappers were still disregarded by the more experienced emcees. It was at this time that a 3 on 3 freestyle match was arranged. MC Oli, C-bake, and another underground MC known as Mephistepheles faced MC The G, MC Quis, and Mosh. The younger MCs suffered a defeat again, but they were granted entrance into the Punishers as a tribute to their persistence and considerable improvement.
They continued to freestyle before stumbling upon the large internet rap underground. Since December 2004 they have been recording, although they prefer live performances by far.
[edit] Members
MC Quis, despite his uncanny name, is credited for the formation of the group. Through his hard work, perseverance, and optimistic outlook on life he brought together this group of street delinquents (Himself, MC the G, and Mosh) to the Punishers in the hopes of forming one of the greatest rap icons in history. Sadly though MC Quis is cursed with a combination of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia making him an unreliable and often uncontrollable member of the group.
MC Oli is the most lyrically talented, being able to use various styles. He is growing as an artist and is currently undefeated in battles. He has performed in several live shows with C-Bake. He is the most productive.
C-Bake has the crazy freestyle skills. His old school freestyling is impressive, and can range anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes. He is the most experienced.
MC the G is the most inactive of the group. He is mainly a producer and critic, helping the group reach their goals and improve. He makes tracks by himself when he chooses to. He parties too much.
Mosh is the ugly duckling of the bunch, lyrically. He hardly records or does anything with the group. Hopefully his involvement with The Punishers will help him improve holistically*.

Fan mail should be directed to thepunishers@famousrappers.com, but the group is probably too busy reading those annoying forwards that DMX always sends them.
[edit] Current status
The Punishers have been scattered across the globe in a massive MC diaspora from Buenos Aires, one may note the similarities to the gypsy diaspora of 1812. MC Oli and MC C-Bake are on some form of self exile to a place called college, while The G and MC Quis pursue their own destinies, The G turning to drugs and the Quis turning to women. As of today Mosh is still unaccounted for.
MC Oli and C-Bake were currently starting on their new Album, the name of which was scheduled to come out December 2005, as a tribute to their first recording session. However, because of practical complications, the MC Oli and C-bake album will be delayed until further notice.
Let it be noted that MC Oli has worked with Showgunz, another Argentinian emcee, on a sick track and the song will soon be released and airing. It is still in the final stages of production by Showgunz himself.
At the moment MC Oli has met up with another DJ and MC known as T-Wallace. MC Oli and this New Hampshire MC have recorded several tracks and it is rumored that a mixtape is soon to be released before summer 2007. Nothing else is known.
[edit] Battle History
The Punishers dabbled in Goldmic for a while, and did very successfully for the most part. However, they were soon disillusioned by the ridiculous voting patterns and after losing several crew battles that were clearly theirs, they decided to leave battling behind and move towards new music.
[edit] Future Albums
There have been some rumors circulating on various online music forums about future albums from various members of the group. The idea of a reunion album has been around for a while, but talk of that has died away gradually, as geographic separation and ideological warfare pose serious problems. While it is well known that MC Oli has an album in the works, his peers may too be recording. MC Quis apparently is branching out, and is said to be working on album that can only be described as "scream-o" meets "british girly pop." The working title is "Spice GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR." C-Bake for his part, has reportedly changed his name to the somewhat cumbersome "Edward Dunsworth." He is rumoured to be deep sea diving, recording the sounds of the blue whale. The beast is said to be appearing on Dunsworth's next single, "Really, Really Big Pimpin'." Stay tuned and keep your eyes glued to the message boards for more Punishers rumors.
Singles from the new mixtape with MC Oli and T-Wallace are out. "Suicide" and "Industry Freestyle" are the two singles, you can get a free download at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pageartist.cfm?bandID=265057.
[edit] Support Groups, Campaign Issues, and Philanthropy
The Punishers have many different political viewpoints, which is what makes them so diverse and entertaining. However, all together they decide to support certain campaign issues. 99% of their profits go to NAAVR (National Association for the Advancement of VelociRaptors). They believe that velociraptors should be respected for the cultural improvements they made (which can be seen at http://wlu.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2211266761) and their impact on humanity. It is a crime that they are extinct and a greater crime that politicians and popular figures are not campaigning for their return. Their affect on human society would be extremely beneficial. To support the return of velociraptors, The Punishers have vowed to give 99% of their profit at any given time to NAAVR. They encourage their fans to do likewise, and hope that soon humanity will be blessed by the inevitable but necessary resurrection of the velociraptor species. POWER TO THE VELOCIRAPTORS! If you do not support them, do not expect to live through their resurrection, as they will surely discern your position and tear the life out of you with a 6" death talon.
