The Psyke Project
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Psyke Project was formed in 2001 and has its roots in the city of Helsinge, Denmark. The band plays a harsh and very dark kind of metalcore with influences ranging from Converge (band), Will Haven to Neurosis (band) and Norma Jean. The main motivation for playing that type of music, emerges from the bands profound love for the dark and brutal sound of metalcore and the sincerity and honesty in the statements made by many of these bands.
The Psyke Project performed at the Roskilde Festival in 2003 and toured Europe extensively, in support of their new well-received full-length Daikini, in the summer of 2005. The band has gained a large fanbase and following in Denmark, and is considered the premier metalcore band. A new album, as of yet untitled, is expected at the end of 2006/early start of 2007.
