The Premiership (television)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Premiership is RTÉ's principal football (soccer) programme. It is broadcast on RTÉ Two every Saturday night during the football season, showing highlights of Premiership matches.
The Premiership was first broadcast in September 1998. It is currently presented by sports broadcaster, Bill O'Herlihy. Pundits featured on the show to make (often) insightful comments about the games they have just seen, have included Eamon Dunphy, Johnny Giles, Liam Brady, Ray Houghton and Brian Kerr.
Since August 2004 RTÉ has also had the broadcasting rights to 15 live Premiership matches on Saturday afternoons (K.O. 3pm). These programmes are called Premiership Live.
