The Prairie School is a private secular college preparatory school in Wind Point, Wisconsin (Racine County) which educates students from age 3 to 12th grade.

Prairie School was founded in 1965 by Imogene Johnson (the wife of Samuel Curtis Johnson [1]) and Willie Hilpert. As of 2006, the current headmaster and president of the school is Wm. Mark H. Murphy, who has served since 1993.

The school first opened with 82 students and has since grown to serve an average of 650 students annually. With several hundred students covering over 12 grades, it is a very small school environment.

The school has recently completed the construction of a state-of-the-art athletics facility called the Johnson Athletic Center (known as the JAC to students). The facility cost over fourteen million dollars. (construction photos).

The school also features a glass-blowing studio and state-of-the-art dining facility.

The school prides itself for its honors system. The lockers have no locks on them and all cases of cheating and theft are brought before an eleven-student panel (elected by the student body) called the Honor Committee.
