The Portsmouth Queen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Portsmouth Queen was a vessal owned by the Gosport Ferry Company Ltd. It was built by Thornycroft of Woolston.
[edit] History
The vessal was built in 1966 to a simular design to The Gosport Queen and the Solent Enterprise and also was delivered in a green livery with a red band. Later it was repainted into the now standard Gosport Ferry colours. The vessal was withdrawn in 2005 when The Spirit of Gosport returned to ferry dutys after another new vessal, The Spirit of Portsmouth, was purchased to replace the Solent Enterprise on cruise dutys.
