The Pop Factory

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pop Factory (TPF) is a recording studio and music venue in Porth, Rhondda, Glamorgan, South Wales. It has given its name to a Welsh TV show, known as the Welsh Top Of The Pops.

The Pop Factory is a converted soft drinks factory, formerly belonging to the "Welsh Hills" brand. It was officially opened by Tom Jones in 2000, by smashing a bottle of dandelion and burdock against its walls.

The weekly shows are broadcast by ITV. The show has been presented by Steve Jones. There is also a Welsh language show, Sesiwn Hwyr, broadcast by S4C.
