[edit] Overview

It is the only state school in Petersfield, and has around 1200 pupils. Its current Headteacher is Mr Nigel Poole.

After receiving Arts College Specialist Status, it opened a new performing arts specific building, called "the studio @ TPS", comprising of an auditorium and various performance features. The studio is used for school performances (such as music and drama performances) as well as external companies, again performing both musical and dramatic productions. The studio has a capacity of around 120 adults or 180 children.

[edit] Motto

The schools motto is "The Performing School", adopted after receiving arts college status. Its previous motto was "Try, Persevere, Succeed". Both use the schools initials due to the school's name generally being abbreviated to TPS by both pupils and Petersfield residents.

[edit] The King's Arms

The local youth project The King's Arms has a close working relationship with TPS
