The Oxford Times

The Oxford Times is a weekly broadsheet newspaper, published in Oxford every Friday. The newspaper was founded in 1862, and had a circulation in 2006 of 26,262.^[1] It is published from a large production facility at Osney Mead and is owned by Newsquest, the UK subsidiary of U.S.-based Gannett Company.

The Oxford Times has two sister publications:

• The Oxford Star — a free weekly tabloid paper, established in 1976;
• The Oxford Mail — a daily tabloid newspaper published Monday to Saturday, founded in 1928.

In 1922, Lawrence of Arabia commissioned The Oxford Times to typeset and print an advance private edition of Seven Pillars of Wisdom. This is known as the "1922 Edition" or the "Oxford Text" of Seven Pillars.
