The Owl and the Pussy Cat is a 1970 film directed by Herbert Ross and starring Barbra Streisand as a prostitute and George Segal (Just Shoot Me) as a nebbish author. They each get one another evicted from their NYC apartment and then hit the road together. Written by Buck Henry and based on the Broadway play, it featured Streisand's first non-singing role. It was spoofed in MAD Magazine in 1971 as "The Foul and the Prissy Cat."
