The Outstanding People of Pridnestrovie

The Outstanding People of Pridnestrovie is the name of a series of memorable coins issued between 2001 and 2004 by the Central Bank of Transnistria.[1] It consists of silver coins featuring the following notable natives of Transnistria:
- Anton Rubinstein (composer, born 1829 in Vikhvatinets)
- Yakim Grosul (scientist, born 1912 in Tiraspol)
- Lev Semenovich Berg (geographer and biologist, born 1876 in Bender)
- Nikolay Dimitrievich Zelinskiy (chemist, born 1861 in Tiraspol)
- Nikolay Sklifosovskiy (surgeon, born 1836 in Dubossary)
- Mikhail Larionov (painter, born 1881 in Tiraspol)
- Konstantin Kaetanovich Gedroits (scientist and painter, born 1872 in Grigoriopol)
- Pyotr Vershigora (writer, born 1905 near Rybnitsa)
