The Outlets

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Outlets was a 1980s Boston rock band consisting of David Alex Barton on vocals, his brother Rick Barton on lead guitar, Mike County on Bass and Walter Gustafson on drums.

An outstanding live band their only album was terribly produced and many believe this is why they failed to achieve wider success. They are best known for the single "Knock Me Down Again", a regional hit.

David Alex Barton convened new versions of The Outlets in the 1990s and again in 2005.

Rick Barton went on to be a founding member of Dropkick Murphys.

Mike County later played bass with Charlie Chesterman and Jennifer Trynin.

Walter Gustafson's post-Outlets resume includes several tours drumming for Gang Green as well as stints with The Freeze and Nervous Eaters. Today he plays with Mung and Con-Sole.
