[edit] Plot Summary
The gang except Ross decides to chip in 50 dollars to buy lottery tickets but Ross doesn't believe in it. Back at Monica's apartment the gang waits for the numbers but still Ross is not in it but joins after Monica convinces him. Meanwhile, Chandler is waiting for his promotion. When time comes for dividing, it is revealed that Monica bought more tickets and starts an argument amongst the gang. At this point, Phoebe takes the tickets to the balcony and says she will drop the tickets if they don't stop fighting. Everyone apologizes but Phoebe accidentally drops the tickets because of a pigeon.
After coming back with the tickets they have two messages, one from Phoebe imitating the pigeon and second from Chandler's friend that he didn't get the promotion. They then watch for the numbers, but before that Rachel talks to Emma on the phone and hears her first word which is related to science. After the numbers have been drawn, no one wins. Chandler then gets a call from his boss who recommends another position that is available, and Chandler gladly accepts it. Phoebe then notices that they got one of the numbers, and win three dollars as a result.
At the end, the gang hears from Gunther that a guy found a ticket and won 10,000 dollars and they all stare angrily at Phoebe. Again she imitates the pigeon saying that it was my (the pigeon's) fault.
