[edit] Plot

Rachel, due to Monica and Chandler’s move-in plans, searches for a new place to live. She receives offers from Ross and Joey (Phoebe supposedly already has a roommate – Denise, which nobody knew about.) She ends up accepting Ross’s offer (Joey’s offer came with “Naked Thursdays”) and Ross is happy – he has a shot at making his “marriage” with Rachel work – until Rachel reminds him of the possibility of things “being weird,” thus causing him to go back and forth on his decision whether or not moving in would be such a good idea. Monica and Chandler (and Joey) get involved in the process. Phoebe, on the other hand, is convinced that Ross is still in love with Rachel, which is the reason why Ross wants to stay married. She keeps on telling him that, which he denies.

Joey, with Chandler moving out, seeks for a new roommate – but it’s obvious what he’s looking for (His ad reads: “Wanted : Female roommate. Non-smoker, non-ugly”). He “screens” gorgeous women for callbacks (only one woman is shown for an actual callback). Chandler and Monica fight about what to do with Rachel’s room and Chandler’s furniture, more specifically, his barcalounger. With Ross exploiting their fight (so that he can get out of moving in with Rachel – and getting in to it – ) and for a while it seems like no one is moving anywhere. In the end, Joey ends up with no roommate; Monica and Chandler decide to stick to their initial plans and move in together; Ross and Rachel decide to move in together as well, although neither is entirely satisfied with that decision.
