Rachel starts her new job at Bloomingdale's. Ross finds out that Mark is taking her out to lunch, and immediately gets jealous. He starts sending an array of gifts to her office - candy, flowers, stuffed animals. At one point he even sends a barbershop quartet to sing to her. Rachel is upset - she thinks Ross is sending the things to her office to send a "hands off!" message to Mark. She tries to make Ross realize that their relationship won't work if they can't trust each other.
Monica starts dating Julio, a hunky waiter at the diner. He writes her a poem about an empty vase, which the gang interprets to mean that he thinks she's shallow. Julio admits that the poem is not about Monica - it's about all American women. To get back at him, Monica hires the same barbershop quartet Ross hired for Rachel to sing in front of a diner filled with customers.
Joey is thrilled when he gets an audition for a Broadway musical. However, he's dismayed to learn he'll have to dance for the role, because he lied on his resume about his dance experience. He claims to have years of experience, but actually has none.
Chandler holds a bachelor party for his botanist cousin Albert. Ross learns that the stripper has a child Ben's age, so they arrange to go on a play date - making Rachel jealous.
