[edit] Common misapprehensions
Because of the company's name, many fans have assumed that they are a "group" of voice actors who've joined together to work on certain projects. This is incorrect, as Ocean's staff are mainly technical and adiministrative personnel, and all the voice actors are freelancers employed on a project to project basis.
Also, this belief, combined with the fact that Ocean is the most publicly known voice over producer in Vancouver, has fostered a frequent assumption in fandom that all projects featuring Vancouver voice actors were done by The Ocean Group. This, again, is incorrect, as there are several other companies drawing from the same talent pool, including BLT Productions (He-Man), Voicebox Productions (Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Cybertron, Zoids: Fuzors), Studio B Productions (Class of the Titans, Being Ian), and Mainframe Entertainment (ReBoot, Beast Wars).
