The Norton Knatchbull School for Boys

The Norton Knatchbull School for Boys' is an all boys' Grammar school situated on Hythe Road, Ashford, Kent, England. The school has been awarded the status of a language college. Today, the Norton Knatchbull school accepts boys of ages 11-18 and has recently admitted girls in the sixth form, aged 16-18.

'Knatchbull' is located close to a number of other secondary schools in the area including The North School and Highworth Grammar School for Girls. It has supported the IB Diploma Programme since April 2006.

The school was founded in approximately 1630, under the name of Ashford Grammar School, and was situated to the north of St. Mary's Church in the centre of Ashford. The school then moved to its present location on Hythe Road on 18th January 1881.

Class A drugs, Cocaine, was recently found at the school, one one of the set of stairs in the Brabourne Building, causing a media circus in the local area, including a front page headline in the Kentish Express, and headlines on the main 6:00 ITV Local news.
