The Nodd
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Nodd is an American rock band. Formed in Philadelphia in 2003, they have made songs drawing from various traditions of music, rock or otherwise, and combine reverence for generations past with bold visions of the future. A band that has been called 'quintessentially 21st century', The Nodd draws on timeless and universal themes of loss, desire, betrayal, ecstasy, longing, and search for purpose with empathy that is a precious rarity in pop music.
Originally considered a local band in the Philadelphia area, in April of 2005, Emergenza invited The Nodd to join its national tour, labeled B.E.S.T. - Best of Emergenza Showcase Tour, where they were the headlining band.[1]
The Nodd is Dug (lead vocals/guitar/piano), Jeremy Dawson (guitar/vocals), Mike Windish (drums), Julian Hinson (bass/vocals).
In late 2005, work was begun on material to be included on a long-awaited follow-up to the independent 2004 release, 'Where The Rubber Meets The Road'.
Former members include Abhi Taranath, Brandon Lee, Joel Roberts, and Greg Hill.
