[edit] Synopsis

In this episode, the man with the knife from "For Real" has been picked up by the media as an assassination attempt. It has become a front page story and earned Jack Tanner a great deal of publicity. Emile had been the only one injured in the attack.

When reporters Hayes Taggerty, Dave Seidelman, Molly Hark, and Frank Gatling hear about the assassination attempt, they scramble to get to Nashville, Tennessee to cover it. With their press bus still broken down, they hitch a ride to Nashville with a trucker for $1000.

Jack also learns that his old friend, Billy Crier, is now a Reverend and a respected member of the black community in Nashville. So, Jack goes to Billy's Church to patch up their friendship, but Billy seems reluctant since it has taken Jack so long to do so. Unbeknownst to Jack, Stringer has learned about his friendship with Billy and decided to exploit it by telling the media. When Jack and Billy leave Billy's Church, they are both surprised to be ambushed by reporters and Billy decides to walk away, leaving Jack embarrassed by the awkward press moment.
