The New Standard
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The New Standard is a mostly free distribution semi-monthly Jewish news publication servicing the Greater Columbus, Ohio area. It competes with The Ohio Jewish Chronicle, a weekly newspaper that has been serving the Columbus Jewish community since 1922. The New Standard's web site currently only holds a media kit. In 2005 the paper received a Simon Rockower Award for excellence in Commentary writing from the American Jewish Press Association. Its circulation is 12,000 and is audited by the CVC.
There is also an online news publication that started publishing the same year with the same name: The NewStandard [1]. It is published by PeoplesNetWorks, a small, nonprofit collective.
