The NBC Monday Movie

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The NBC Monday Movie was a television program scheduled every Monday night from 1963 to 1999 on NBC. It was referred to in the early part of its run as NBC Monday Night at the Movies. This show featured edited feature films and, in the latter part of its run, made-for-TV movies. The featured films were edited (1) for content, to remove objectionable material (2) for time, to reduce the film's running time to fit into the 2-hour timeslot, and (3) for resizing, so the image would fit the standard 4:3 television screen (as opposed to letterbox format).
