The Mystifying Oracle
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mystifying Oracle is a side-project of one of the members of Austere that first started releasing musick in 2002.
Like the Austere philosophy of keeping band members anonymous, the same holds true for this side-project, but at least two names are associated with the band: William Fuld and Elijah J. Bond.
Musically speaking, The Mystifying Oracle is more active listening than the output from Austere. They have two releases: quintessence, a three track CD-EP, and The Kiffed CD-EP, a 4-track release "inspired by Middle Eastern culture and in particular a visit to Morocco."
In addition to the music, attention should be drawn to the amazing packaging of the releases. The Mystifying Oracle track The Ceremony was featured as the first track from the Music for Seances Talking Board series and which can be purchased on-line or, if you are lucky, discovered in one of the Art-O-Mat machines!
More will be added about the band's history, output, etc. as time permits. Their Web site can be found at: http://austere.org/oracle
