The Mud Show
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mud Show is a traveling renaissance fair show that gives audiences a chance to see classic works of literature performed by genius troupe members, all the while covered in and dousing the audience with, you guessed it: Mud. The show dated back to the late 70's and has been delighting audiences with their unique brand of humor at festivals all around the country since then. Their motto, "All the world's a stage, just add water" pretty much sums up what someone can expect to see at their shows. While perusing their website one comes across the question, "What is the Mud Show?" And the answer comes as follows: "The Mud Show is a wonderful juxtipositioning of social mores which illuminates man's foibles thus erupting their audience into geysers of carthartic laughter." Yep you read it.
