[edit] Plot
This episode starts out in Leo and Annie’s backyard in a small yellow tent. The team uses June's telescope to look at the the Moon. The Moon plays some music (Eine Kleine Nachtmusik), as the group is in awe of the Moon’s beauty. Quincy plays the Moon's song on the the violin to catch the Moon's attention. The Moon responds by shining a beam of light on Quincy. Quincy continues to play, and the Moon, in turn, sees Annie, Leo, June, and Rocket. Little Mouse, who is holding a large yellow present for the Moon, calls for the Moon. Unfortunately, the Moon is gone! June, using her telescope, notes that the Moon is at the Matterhorn Mountain in Switzerland. The team decides on their mission.
While flying, Leo spots the musical roller coaster. As they go over bumps in the roller coaster (learning staccato), Little Mouse loses his grip on his present and it gets ejected from Rocket! With a quick reaction, Rocket rescues the present with his Clapper Catcher, returns it to Little Mouse, and the crew continue their journey on foot. Annie notes that they must travel through a dark, spooky forest, and Little Mouse runs into the forest all by himself. The team chases after him, but Little Mouse is too far ahead. The team searches in a large pile of grass, a small bush, and finally in the woods hiding behind a tree, where Little Mouse is hiding from an owl. June suggests they sneak past the owl and freeze in place if the owl looks at them, and they successfully pass.
Finally, the team encounters the mountain, albeit covered with snow. As the team skis, they encounter more "staccato" bumps, until they finally reach the bass of the mountains. Rocket then turns into a gondola and gives everybody a ride to the top of the mountain. With his violin, Quincy guides Little Mouse to the top of the Matterhorn to give his present to the Moon. As the Moon begins to set beneath the mountains, Quincy plays his violin to get the Moon’s attention. At last, the Moon notices, and casts a bright light onto Little Mouse. Little Mouse hops on the tip of the mountain and unwraps his present. Stars fly out and into the sky, and everybody loves the gift of bright, shining stars!

Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)

- Can you feel our rock–et – jump?
- We ski to and fro through the snow! Here we go!
- Can you feel our rock–et – jump?
[edit] Musical Concept
Staccato is taught by having Rocket "jump" (on the appropriate beats of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, as indicated in the lyrics) over bumps in the musical staff in the sky and over bumps while skiing.
