The Motorettes are a band from the North East England coastal town of Tynemouth. The band comprises of Jack, Jed & Robin. The are signed to Kitchenware Records with Editors. They released their debut single "Super Heartbeats" on January 23, 2006. Super Heartbeats was the xfm single of the week. The Motorettes extensively tour the UK throughout 2006. This included joint-headline dates in July with Kubichek!.

Their debut album, the self-titled "The Motorettes" was released on 21 August 2006.
