- This article is about the punk band formed by some members of The Strawbs in the 1970s. For the 1960s band see The Monks.
The Monks were an English rock group formed in the 1970s by former members of The Strawbs Richard Hudson, John Ford - British Musician and Terry Cassidy, along with Clive Pearce.
Their first album, Bad Habits, was released in 1979.
Brian Willoughby (guitar) and Chris Parren (keyboards) joined for their second album, Suspended Animation.
