The Milkmaid (De Melkmeid) is a painting of a milkmaid by the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer, and is housed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
It was painted in the baroque style in 1658, using oil on canvas. The canvas size is 41x46 cm.
Het Melkmeisje is a less accurate but more friendly title for the work, and is used by the Rijksmuseum and others.
