  • Increasing our endowment for financial aid to attract the brightest and most capable students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Increasing our endowment for faculty compensation to retain and support the excellent teachers who provide the outstanding Hilltopper educational experience.
  • Renovating the Fregeau Auditorium to better serve as a community-gathering place for speakers, theater, and musical performances.
  • New Athletic Facilities by building a new 65 by 110 yard soccer field and a 400-meter, 8-lane track for student athletes to practice and compete on campus.

Progress

The soccer field was completed and was ready for use by numerous Marshall Soccer teams at the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year.

In the fall of 2006 Marshall School completed a renovation of the Fregeau Auditorium. This renovation consisted of a new sound system, seats, lighting, and an orchestra shell. The renovation also consisted of remodeling the entire lobby and build outs in the auditorium. A scene shop was also built behind the auditorium. A Gala celebration was held November 16 2006 for the official opening of this auditorium and the scene shop.

[edit] Community Service

Marshall is committed to bettering the community and providing its students with opportunities to do so. In November 2006, Marshall participated in Operation Christmas Child, in which students, faculty, and parents filled shoeboxes with toys and other supplies to be donated to children. They donated 72 shoeboxes this year to the charity, and educated their students on this charity for further donations.

Marhsall also offers a class in Volunteer Outreach, having students volunteer for a full semester at various places, such as animal shelters and hospitals. The school also informs its students on other community service opportunities through bulletin boards and morning announcements.
