The Man in Black may refer to:
- Johnny Cash, the American country and western singer, who regularly performed dressed all in black.
- Man in Black (album), a 1971 album by Cash
- The title of the song written and recorded by Johnny Cash in 1971, which explains why he wears black and carries a sombre demeanor; the song bears witness to the poor, the homeless, the lonely, and various other disadvantaged groups in society, as well as those who have suffered injustice or wrongdoing. Cash also refers to those who have been the victims of war, or sent off to die in wars (specifically, at the time, the Vietnam War). Cash comments that he will never been seen wearing a suit of white until there is a "move to make a few things right".
- Dale Earnhardt, an American race car driver, who throughout the late 1980s and 1990s drove a black #3 Chevrolet sponsored by GM Goodwrench.
