The Mall at Tuttle Crossing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mall at Tuttle Crossing is a shopping center located in Columbus, Ohio. It opened on July 11, 1997. The original anchor stores were Sears, Lazarus, Marshall Field's, and JCPenney. As of August 2006, the original Lazarus is now a Macy's and the original Marshall Field's became Kaufmann's in February of 2003. In 2006, due to the Federated-May merger, the Kaufmann's store was renamed Macy's. As of October 2006 there are two Macy's located at the mall, Macy's at Tuttle Crossing (the original Federated store) and Macy's at Hayden Run (the former Kaufmann's).
The mall itself anchors an economically strong and growing area of office complexes, restaurants, apartments and condominiums surrounding the interchnge of I-270 and Tuttle Crossing Blvd. The area is a good example of the suburban phenomenon know as an "edge city."
