[edit] Characters
Quasimodo is a sixteen year old hunchbacked bellringer that lives in Notre Dame. His parents died when he was a baby, leaving him at the steps of Notre Dame.
Frollo is Quasimodo's master, who also lived in Notre Dame. For the first sixteen years of Quasimodo's life, Frollo fooled Quasimodo and Dennis to thinking he was a nice person. In fact, Frollo was so evil, he hoped one day to find Quasimodo's parents and learn their secret of how to turn lead into gold. He reveals this to Quasimodo in the second episode "Frollo's Revenge". Quasimodo learns that Frollo is evil in the very first episode "Evil Unmasked" when he overhears Frollo plotting to assassinate the king. Frollo failed, and was forced to hide and live in the underground tunnels of Paris.
Dennis is Quasimodo's teacher and mentor. He is almost like a father to Quasimodo. Dennis has been educating Quasimodo ever since he was a kid. He also lives in Notre Dame.
Esmeralda is a young gypsy girl, a friend of Quasimodo's. She first met Quasimodo when she saw him standing on a balcony of Notre Dame. She threw a rose to him and smiled. The police was arresting Esmeralda. Quasimodo came just in time to free her, but instead he ended up being arrested. Esmeralda along with her brother François managed to rescue Quasimodo from jail. Thus they became friends.
François is Esmeralda's brother. He is a very talented poet, and also Quasimodo's friend.
