The Lounge Singer/She's the Toad was the third episode of the second season of the Animated Television series Rocko's Modern Life.

[edit] The Lounge Singer

The story starts with Filbert turning his trailer into a karokee-type of place. He starts singing, and it gets the attention of Rocko, who was walking down the street. It is revealed that Filbert has always wanted to be a Lounge Singer, and Rocko attempts to convince him to go on stage. Filburt makes an attempt, but is too nervous to go on. He watches an informerical about Buddy Gecko, his idol Lounge Singer, which is selling tapes to give people confidence on stage. He buys em, and goes back to Lounge Singing, where he's a smash hit. He goes all the way to Las Vegas, and once again becomes nervouse when Gecko drops by. Filbert worries he'll mess up, but Gecko gives him advice (the same advice Rocko gave Filbert earlier): Imagine the crowd naked. Filbert does, and can sing (expect as a joke, it's a nudist lounge). Filbert starts to sing, and Gecko joins him on stage. Gecko gives him an offer to tour with him, but Filburt perfers staying home and doing singing. The final scene shows Filbert signing to the Bigheads.

[edit] She's The Toad

Ed Bighead has to give an important proposal for the Board at Conglom-O or else he'll be fired. Bev Bighead attempts to help, but Ed is so stressed that his mind is lost and he suffers from burnout. So Bev writes the proposal for him, and by morning, Ed, still feeling the stress, begins to leave the house, only for his head to smash to pieces. Bev, worried, convinces Heffer and Filbert (who were waiting outside Rocko's house), to pretend they're Ed and give the proposal. Bev quickly throws together a crude disguise, and drives them to the Conglom-O building. She instructs them to just give the proposal and then leave before their cover's blown. Heffer and Filbert walk to the meeting, and manage to squeeze by without any trouble (save for a deflating balloon eye). Mr. Dupette thinks that the proposal was brilliant, and Heffer and Filbert reveal themselves. When Mr. Dupette demands an explanation, they say that Bev wrote it. The Board members run towards Bev's car, and promptly give her a job as an executive. She is shown to be highly successful, and the business is never been better. One scene then shows Ed, still frazzled, strapped to his bed. Filbert and Heffer play mind games with him, saying things like "I am your conscience!" and "Wee- wee!", then pop the balloon eyes on their disguise, scaring Ed out of his wits. Meanwhile, Bev is shown to miss her dear Ed, is starting to get bored, and her secretary has everyone in the company wear inflatable Ed head hats to cheer up Bev. Bev appreciates the goodwill, but decides to quit her position, saying that she's done her bit for the company. She tells Mr. Dupette that she and Ed are going on vacation, and she's taking the building with them. As they leave, Heffer and Filbert walk to the lot where the building was, and get the employees to join them in a chant of "Wee-wee!" Heffer is amused by this, and gets them to repeatedly chant it.
