The Lost Trident Sessions
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Lost Trident Sessions was an album by the Mahavishnu Orchestra's original line-up (consisting of John McLaughlin, Jerry Goodman, Jan Hammer, Rick Laird, and Bill Cobham). The album was recorded in 1973, but was not released until 1999, by Sony. Its release was most likely delayed due to the conflict which brought an end to the first Mahavishnu Orchestra. Dream, Sister Andrea, and Trilogy; The Sunlit Path/La Mer de la Mer/Tomorrow's Story Not the Same, the first three songs on the album, were also the three songs on the live album, Between Nothingness and Eternity. The Lost Trident Sessions also includes three more songs, I Wonder, Stepping Stones, and John's Song.
