The Legend of Big Thing was an episode of Cro which aired October 23, 1993.

Somewhere in a forest, Dr. C, Mike, and Phil are camping. Dr. C is telling a story of a monster. As she gets more firewood, Mike fears of the monster coming. Phil tells him how to do so.

In Phil's flashback, on a winter's night, Nandy is telling Cro, Ogg, Gogg, and Bobb the story about a creature called "Big Thing". Cro now wanders if Big Thing exists. He soon gets his answer when he finds an oval-shaped print embedded in the snow. With Pakka's help he makes a trap to capture Big Thing, but he gets caught in one of his traps and hears something. Big Thing? No, a girl named Sooli who got separated from her tribe and lost her horse. The Neandies keep her, but Cro is disappointed that there is no Big Thing.

Cro and Pakka eventually make a trap for Sooli's horse and catch it. Dr. C and Mike are waiting patiently. Then, Dr. C tells Mike that there IS no monster. Then, Phil comes and Dr. C and Mike release the trap full of water balloons.
