The Landscape of Truth

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Landscape of Truth: A Sound Biblical Doctrine for the True Worshippers is the theological, doctrinal treatise used by the True Worshipper Ecclesiastical Association (TWEA). The work is authored by the Senior Minister of the association, Derick Mckinnely Fuller, who worked for a major NASA contractor as a mechanical drafter/designer. For laypeople, the work seeks to establish a single truth that correlates mainstream orthodox interpretations of the Holy Bible with both classical and contemporary philosophy.

[edit] Thesis

For laypeople, the Landscape of Truth ties together many complex established theologies by examining the Old and New Testaments with the notion that God uses the human experience to cultivate an eternal sense of appreciation for him in a purported Holy Marriage of souls in the eternal body of Jesus the Christ.

For advanced scholars, the work professes to accomplish the union of classical & contemporary philosophy and orthodox Christianity by positioning the perfect relationship of the Trinity as a sort of spiritual expression of Plato's perfect forms; at the same time, the work reconciles Plato's perfect Forms with Immanuel Kant's notion that the human mind can only comprehend reality with the synthetic a priori organized concepts of the mind, in the following way: the work demonstrates how the human mind is predisposed to seek an overall good for its well being, as God is predisposed to establish his reality by assuming the form of salvation, as he preserves that which is pure in human nature in the body of Christ. In addition, the work grounds such abstract topics as truth and knowledge by describing how God's physical expression through his intelligently designed creation greats the subjective soul through the soul's sense of beauty. It is here that the work borrows themes from George Santayana's work entitled, the Sense of Beauty.

[edit] Scope

Using the above respective theological and philosophical conventions, the Landscape of Truth unfolds a dazzling tapestry of thought and practical investigation. The work unfolds civilization, human vice, concepts of good and evil, quantum physics, and such abstract topics as love, while staying within the biblical epic.
