The Kremlin (public house)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Kremlin is Shropshire's highest public house, at 391m above sea level in the village of Cleehill, near Ludlow. It is believed to be the second highest pub in England too.
The unusual name had been used as an unofficial one for some years before it was formally adopted. It came about for one (or both) of two reasons: because of the heated political debates for which it was well-known, or because it was believed that there was no higher ground directly between it and the Ural mountains in Russia.
