The Johns Hopkins Mental Notes are a comedy-based a cappella group affiliated with Johns Hopkins University. They have been in existence for roughly 12 years. The ever-changing members of the group are known for exhibiting wild, deranged and often depraved qualities for the sake of being funny, and are thus referred to as "mental". The group's current tagline is "Painfully Sexy".

The Mental Notes have released several albums, including Verticality (1999), Off Pants (2002), and their newest album The Platonic Makeout Sessions (2006).
