The John Francis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The John Francis is a San Francisco, California based singer, guitarist and songwriter, currently signed to Rerum Novarum Records. Although The John Francis is essentially just one man - John Francis, he is often accompanied live by Ilk Koskelo and occasionally Myke Stryker from We Be The Echo. Many musicians have guested on his recordings also, including John Vanderslice, Matt Bauer and brother Brian Small.
The John Francis is notable for his diverse style, which is a melting pot of grunge, alt country, classic rock and rock opera, and has been described as Neil Young meets Bauhaus [[1]].
John Francis previously was part of The Bm Relocation Program, a Bay Area based experimental rock project with Graeme Nicholls, Ilk Koskelo and Myke Stryker of We Be The Echo, and Bert Garibay of The Last Of The Blacksmiths.
