The Jai-Alai Savant is a Chicago based punk band massively influenced by dub and reggae music. The band consists of Ralph Darden (guitar & vocals), Jeremy Gewertz (drums) and Nash Snyder (bass). They released two EPs on Gold Standard Laboratories ("Thunderstatement"-EP 2005 and "Scarlett Johansson why don't you love me"-EP with only slightly different tracklist in Europe in November 2006). Their first full-length release "Flight of the Bass Delegate" will be released in March 2007. It is rumoured that Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala amongst other members of The Mars Volta make guest appearences. [1]
