The Hurricanes are an Edinburgh based band. Formed in 2005 when all members met at Loretto school. They have been playing together ever since, with their distinctive music drawing on influences past and present. In the short space of a year, the band have played such prestigious venues such as: The Exchange (Arctic Monkeys, Carl Palmer and Albert Lee previous acts there) and Cabaret Voltaire (The Fratellis, 1990s and Larrikin Love)

Playing with some of Edinburgh's best club nights 'Edinburgh Rock Riot!' and 'Indie Ring', The Hurricanes are leaving their mark around town.

Described by Cabaret Voltaire, one of Edinburgh's most prestigous venues, as having "A sound that's simultaneously right-up-to-date and as old school as they come. The only thing more exciting than their tunes is their electric live performance".
