The Houses of Iszm is a science fiction novel by Jack Vance published in 1954.

The story takes place on a planet called Iszm, inhabited by a people known as the Iszic. This planet is known for its giant trees, which are big enough to serve as support for hollow pods used as habitations. The protagonist, Ailie Farr, is a botanist who goes to Iszm to steal a female tree, which would allow the propagation of the species offworld, breaking the monopoly of the Iszic on the exportation of the trees.
