[edit] History

Since it's inception, the band attempted unsuccessfully to find a brass instrument player until August 2005 when the consensus of the band was that their songs that didn't feature brass were much better than the ones that did. Other complications with the band are the proximity of the members. Travis Brown currently attends the University of Tennessee, Alex Clifton attends the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and Dylan Chun is a senior in high school. However, the members are persistent in pursuing success with the band. They have performed in several venues in Knoxville and other nearby vicinities.

To date, they have written between 12 and 17 original songs, including the ones only half written and have never played as a band. The band has somewhat of a cult following in east Tennessee but their fan base is growing as the band is set on staying together.

[edit] Origin of the word "hoodingy"

Brown and Clifton, employees at a Charlie Peppers restaurant in Knoxville, Tennessee, observed another daytime dishwasher, Cecil: a 70-80 year old man whom apparently cannot read or write anything except his own name. According to legend, every time one saw or walked by him in the kitchen, no matter what either one was doing, he would utter, "hoodingyieyei..." and he wanted to bump elbows at the same time. Admiring him, they adopted ineligible phrase to use as their band's name.
