The Holidays

The Holidays usually refers to a period around commonly celebrated Holidays, usually in the context of holidays celebrated by a majority of the people in the context and setting it is used. In North America, the Holidays usually means the winter holiday season, the period from November to January holidays such Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah, and New Year's Day are observed. A comparable period is early autumn of the Jewish calendar comprising Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot.
