The Henry Lawson High School is located in Grenfell, a country town in the mid-west of New South Wales, Australia. It teaches approximately 200 students from year 7 through to year 12. Its abbreviation is THLHS.
The school was named after Henry Lawson, the famous Australian bush poet. The school's mission statement is: "Care for, Develop and Challenge."
The school has been successful in the Young Achievement Australia awards in 1998 and 1999.
The high school was founded on 3 February 1965 after the Grenfell Intermediate School separated into Grenfell Public School and THLHS. The principal of the school is Mr John Clarke, and deputy is Mr. Barry Jones.
The school has a reputable school band and choir, taught by Mr Tony and Mrs Mary Holz. They have both been successful in nearby eisteddfods and have won almost every single time, whilst competing against much larger schools. The school's debating and rugby union teams have both made it into state finals.
