The Gulf Today
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Gulf Today is an English-language newspaper based in the United Arab Emirates and distributed across the country. It is largely dependent on newswire content, but covers a full range of international stories.
As with all media in the U.A.E., the paper exercises tacit self-censorship; criticism of the government is rare and of the rulership non-existent. Aside from this, its reporting and comment are diverse and professional. The paper is popular with the country's large group of non-Arab expatriates, including both Westerners and guest workers from the Indian sub-continent.
The Gulf Today is published by Dar Al Khaleej, based in Sharjah.
