The Gosport Queen

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Gosport Queen is a vessal owned by the Gosport Ferry Company Ltd. The vessal was built by Thornycroft of Woolston.

[edit] History

The vessal was built in 1966 to replace two previous ferries. Because of the vessals large size this was possible. They were delivered in PHFC colours but later repainted into its current Gosport Ferry livery. This vessal is the last of the three Queens still in service after The Portsmouth Queen and The Southsea Queen was withdrawn.
